Emmanuel International works in developing countries across the globe. Our mission is to transform lives through practical aid, sustainable development and spiritual growth. By being part of a Visiting Ministry Team (VMT), you can join our cause and make a great impact in this world!
What is a VMT?
Emmanuel International Mission takes groups of people as a Visiting Ministry Team (VMT) on short term projects throughout the summer months. Each trip extends between a two to three week period where you will be culturally immersed in one of our project countries! Joining a VMT is a powerful way to aid our projects in transforming lives and enriching your experience of God’s love in the process.
What can you expect?
The work is always varied within every VMT we send, however, there are several experiences that you are guaranteed to take part in:
- You WILL have participated in the process of a valuable operation in one of our project countries. In the past, some of our projects have included building feeding centers and churches, teaching within schools, and participating in relief work.
- You WILL be exposed to different culture, language, food and location. This is a chance to step outside of your comfort zone and grow in a new environment!
- You WILL learn a lot from the local people. As you interact with them, their testimonies of faith under difficult circumstances have a life changing effect!
- You WILL see how God is working in our world – not only in the local community, but also in you!
Who can go?
If your church group, student group, work colleagues or similar association is feeling called to take a step of faith and further God’s mission, then our VMT trips are meant for you! We have accommodated anyone from the ages of 17 to 75, and under-age youth with their parent or guardian’s consent.
The VMT trips are meant for those equipped to put their faith into action, prepared to have their lifestyle challenged, and ready to open their eyes transforming work of God.
